Description

The Golf Fanatic is a 16-piece wooden packing puzzle built around the game a golfer already loves. Every piece is a laser-cut, laser-engraved figure from the course: a golfer mid-swing, a cart, a bag full of clubs, a driver, a ball, a shoe, a glove, a flag, a tee, and a trophy. The challenge is to nest all 16 back inside the frame so the cover fits flat. Miss the arrangement by a hair and nothing seats, which is exactly the point.

We cut the pieces from at least four different hardwoods, each a quarter inch thick, so the finished puzzle shows real grain and color contrast instead of one flat printed panel. It measures 7.5 inches square with its frame and wood cover. This is our own original artwork by Samantha Kindt, cut in-house and handcrafted in Hudson, Florida.

It earns its keep two ways. Closed in its frame, it is a handsome piece of golf decor for a desk, a shelf, or an office wall. Tipped out, it is a real brain teaser. Buyers have called it "surprisingly lovely" and "such a cool puzzle," and one reviewer told us several of her family members have their own. As one described the solve, it feels like making an eagle on a par 5 after your second shot found the bunker.
