Wood Message Card

Send your own words with the gift, laser engraved on a wood card and packed in the same box. The Wood Message Card is a personalized 4 x 3 inch Baltic birch card, 1/8 inch thick, engraved by Creative Crafthouse, a family-owned wooden puzzle and game business since 2003. Add it to any puzzle box, game or other gift on our site, or order one on its own.

When a present ships straight to someone, the card is how your message gets there with it. It carries their name, your message and your closing inside a thin laser-scored border, on a piece of birch they can keep after the gift is open.

For each card you fill in a To line (up to 20 characters), your message (up to 180 characters, and line breaks are fine) and a closing of up to 2 lines, like "Love, Emma". A preview shows how the lines will sit on the card as you type. We engrave exactly what you type in Georgia, a classic serif, so give it a quick read for spelling before you order. If you're not sure what to write, there are suggested messages for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, thank-yous, graduations and parents, plus a few matched to the kind of gift, and you can change any of them. The cards in our photos are examples. Yours says whatever you write.

To add a card to a gift, tick "Add a wood message card" on that product's page, or add one from your cart. With a puzzle box, the card rides loose beside it in the shipping box and can set up the challenge ("Open it if you can. I want to hear how long it took."). Sent by itself, a card makes a small thank you, say for a teacher at the end of the school year. Our gift guide is a good place to find the gift to go with one.
