The Original Penny Drop, Premium edition: the authentic wooden dice game, handmade in cherry by the family that invented it. The real thing, not a lookalike. Quick to learn and hard to put down.

How it plays. Players race to empty their pennies. Roll the die and drop a penny in the matching slot, and if you land on a slot that already holds one, you take the whole board, so a single roll can wipe out the leader. Stop after a roll or push your luck. A round takes a few minutes, anyone from kids to grandparents can play, and up to twelve can join.

Why the Premium. A solid cherry lid, chosen because it is dense, high quality, and shows engraving more cleanly than softer woods, on a floorboard box that resists scratches and water far better than ordinary wood. The sliding lid doubles as the play handle, with a real wooden penny set in as the grip and hand-routed edges all around. Inside, a handmade 7/8 inch die and a rules card. It measures 6 x 2.4 x 2.5 inches, palm-sized and solid in the hand.

Played with the pennies in your pocket. Twelve per player, or ten for a faster game, so there is nothing extra to buy. Short on pennies? Any penny-sized token works.
