The interior is felt-lined, 2 1/4 inches square and 2 1/2 inches deep, room for a gift card, a fold of bills, a check, a watch, or a ring. Overall it is a 4 inch cube, and because the maple is real and hand-finished, the grain and the blue tone vary a little from box to box.
