The Sports Bet Decision Maker is a wooden pendulum gag gift for adults: the sports fan who always has a pick and the friend who has a bet riding on every game. Not sure how to bet on the big game? Put your mind at ease and let the universe decide: give the pendulum a flick and it swings over the laser-engraved face until a magnet catches it on one of five calls, Over, Under, Underdog, Favorite or Bet Different Game. Every one is made in Hudson, Florida at Creative Crafthouse, the family-owned wooden puzzle and game company we have been running since 2003.
It has no idea who is playing, which is the whole joke, so whatever it lands on is the call (you can always flick it again, but that defeats the point). A lot of sports betting gifts are a T-shirt, a mug or a candle with a parlay joke printed on it. This one is a real piece of wood that sits out on a desk or the end table by the TV and gets flicked every game day. The base and the pendulum head are rubberwood and the shaft is raintree, which is why the shaft reads darker, and the title and all five calls are laser engraved into the face rather than printed. A magnet sits in the pendulum and another sits just under the wood at each call, so a flick ends on one clear answer instead of hanging between two. Red felt covers the underside, so it can sit on a polished desk or bar top without marking it.
It comes nicely packaged in four parts: the engraved base, the arm, the pendulum and one screw, with assembly instructions. Assembly is one step and takes under a minute. Turn the base over and drive the screw up through the felt side into the arm with a large Phillips screwdriver (not included). The arm stays fixed and only the pendulum swings. Assembled, the Sports Bet Decision Maker measures 7.7 inches long, 3.75 inches wide and 5.5 inches tall, sized for a desk or an end table.

I like the item very good quality but I didn’t realize it needed to be assembled and I don’t have the strength to screw the screw in. I think it should be in the description that you have to assemble it and how to assemble it in the description of the item before you purchase.
