Description
Description
Having trouble trying to figure out how to spend your day off? Just ask the Decision Maker! The Activity Decision Maker is a wooden executive desk toy with five unique options burned into its face, Take a Nap, Watch TV, Work, Shop and Party!, and a pendulum that a hidden magnet pulls onto one of them. Put it under the tree for a coworker at Christmas, bring it to the office gift swap, Secret Santa or white elephant, or hand it over at a retirement party. Our family builds it at the Creative Crafthouse workshop in Hudson, Florida, and the company dates to 2003.
Work is only one of the five choices, which may be the best argument for keeping it at the office. The name and answers are burned into a rubberwood base, so getting passed from desk to desk does nothing to the lettering. Five hidden magnets sit under the answers and a sixth is set in the pendulum, so after a flick the pendulum slows and settles onto one choice, with no batteries and nothing to plug in. The bottom is lined in red felt to spare the desk.
It comes nicely packaged; you will need to assemble one screw (included) to attach the arm. Borrow a large Phillips screwdriver from the supply closet, since we do not ship one: the screw enters from the felt side, through the small hole, and threads into the arm. The box also holds the engraved board, the pendulum and printed instructions, and if the pendulum ever drags on the board, turning its metal screw eye lifts it. At 7.7 inches long, 3.75 inches deep and 5.5 inches tall once the arm is on, it fits beside a keyboard with room to spare, should the pendulum land on Work.
Our laser will add a name or a running office joke on the front of the base, 45 characters or fewer, and a Wood Message Card, laser engraved with your note, can come along too. If your office has its own five favorite excuses, we can engrave a custom board with them. If you need it for the office party, plain orders are shipped out of Florida within one business day, and engraved ones take a day longer.
Shopping for the boss? The Decision Maker for your boss answers with Yes, No, Maybe, Always or Never, and our Corporate Gifts have more for the rest of the office.
