Description

Swords of Truth is a wooden math magic trick keychain for anyone who enjoys having a trick ready to show a friend. A spectator chooses a number in secret, calls out a series of shapes with one deliberate lie, and you reveal the number.

We make Swords of Truth in our family workshop at Creative Crafthouse in Hudson, Florida. The swords hang together on a metal keychain ring, so you can take the trick along and bring it out when someone asks what they are.

You receive eight wooden swords, one keychain ring and one instruction sheet. Each sword carries six numbers, each surrounded by a square or circle. Your spectator names the shapes in order, but gives the opposite shape for the number they picked. The included instructions teach you how to use that sequence to find their number. Practice the method before showing the trick to someone.

What are the shapes, and what happens in the trick?
Each sword has six numbers, each surrounded by a square or circle. A spectator secretly chooses one number, then names all six shapes in order. They tell the truth about five shapes and give the opposite shape for their chosen number: saying circle instead of square, or square instead of circle. From that sequence, you reveal the number they picked. The included instructions teach you how to interpret the shapes.

Do I need to practice before showing it to someone?
Yes. Learn the method from the included instructions, then practice listening to the shape sequence and revealing the chosen number before performing for someone.

What comes with Swords of Truth?
Eight wooden swords, one metal keychain ring and one instruction sheet. Each sword carries six numbers surrounded by squares or circles.

Who makes the wooden set?
We make Swords of Truth at Creative Crafthouse, our family-owned puzzle and game workshop in Hudson, Florida.

How is it different from Wizard Magic Math Cards?
Swords of Truth reveals one secretly chosen number and keeps its eight swords on a keychain ring. With Wizard Magic Math Cards, the spectator arranges six cards and you reveal the sum of the numbers facing up. Choose Swords for the keychain format or Wizard for a card-based performance.

Can I personalize Swords of Truth?
Yes. Swords of Truth can be personalized with a custom laser engraving on the back of one sword, up to 45 characters. Add a name, date, or short message when you order. See our laser engraving page for details and examples. For a custom logo or artwork, request a quote for custom work.

When will my order ship?
Standard orders ship from Florida within 1 business day. Personalized orders usually ship within 2 days; detailed custom work and larger orders may take longer. Shipping time is separate from transit time. See our shipping policy for shipping rates and transit information.

Can I return it, and what if there is an engraving or address mistake?
We provide free returns. If an engraving or address mistake comes from the information you supplied, we do not refund the item or shipping costs. If we make a mistake, we will refund or replace the item at no cost to you.

Could there be extra charges when I order from Canada?
Yes. Import duties and taxes may be payable when your order arrives. Before ordering, check the brokerage or customs-clearance charges for your selected courier service. Paying the shipping charge at checkout does not mean all import charges are prepaid.

The trick is just fine - but fees are unexpected and excessive

The trick is just fine, and is everything expected -- no surprises ---all good.However when paying you upfront I also paid for the UPS pre-paid shipping. I therefore received an unpleasant surprise when UPS refused to deliver until I paid to them a $41 extra charge for Canadian Taxes (OK) but also including a $30 charge from UPS for brokerage fees !! I would have appreciated some upfront warning from your site re these excessive fees especially when I had paid for delivery up front. It soured the experience.
