Description

Enigma III is a wooden cipher machine for making and solving escape-room clues. Encode a message with your chosen gear order and three-letter keyword, then have players use those same settings to uncover it. Dave Janelle and Bob Nolet designed the Enigma series at Creative Crafthouse. We make Enigma III in Hudson, Florida.

Enigma III is 9.4 inches long. Three double-sided gears give Enigma III 32,448 possible keys. Each face has a different randomized alphabet. The quarter-inch wooden gears turn on alloy steel pins, with letters laser-engraved into the wood for you to read as you work through a message.

The set includes the base, three gears, an instruction sheet, two worksheets and practice messages. Work through the instructions before preparing your own clue so you know how the encoding and decoding sequence fits your game.

You can also use Enigma III to exchange coded messages with someone who has another Enigma III and knows the settings. We can engrave up to 45 characters on the base for a code enthusiast's gift or your room's name.
