Diana Cryptosystem Cipher Wheel | US Army Special Forces - 2 Sizes

This is a faithful reproduction of the cipher disk employed by the US Army Special Forces (Green Berets) throughout the Vietnam War and the Cold War era.

Developed with input from a Special Forces soldier who used the system in the field and authored the original instructions and historical documentation, the DIANA system was widely used by individual operators, A-Teams, B-Teams, and communication stations across Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. Encrypted messages were transmitted via high-frequency radio using Morse code for added security.

Considered unbreakable when paired with a One-Time Pad, this cipher is believed to be the last physical wheel-based cipher used by the U.S. military and has remained largely confidential until now.

Despite its high security, the system is quick and simple to operate, supported by included worksheets to assist users in encoding and decoding messages—even beginners can use them effectively. Available in two sizes—5.5-inch and 4-inch diameters—each disk is crafted from wood, laser-engraved with deep text, and features the US Army Special Forces emblem on the back.
