The Paranormal Puzzle is a solid-wood picture-frame puzzle for the friend who never misses a ghost-hunting show: 24 laser-cut hardwood pieces, each shaped like a UFO, a ghost, an alien, or another supernatural icon, that all have to nest back inside a 7.5 inch square frame. It belongs to our picture-frame puzzle series, an original Creative Crafthouse format where the theme is not a printed picture but the pieces themselves.

We cut every piece from quarter-inch hardwoods and finish each one by hand in our family workshop in Hudson, Florida, so the grain is unique to your copy. The frame measures 7.5 by 7.5 by 0.75 inches, a real wooden keepsake rather than a cardboard puzzle that goes back in a box. It stays assembled as a display piece on a desk or shelf, and it can be taken apart and solved all over again.

Lift out the pieces, mix them up, and find the single arrangement that lets all 24 shapes sit flat inside the frame so the wood cover fits on top. Because the pieces lock together by shape and size rather than by a matching image, there is real trial and error in it, closer to a packing puzzle than a jigsaw. You receive the framed base, all 24 paranormal pieces, the fitted wood cover, and an instruction and solution sheet for the moments the unexplained gets the better of you.

It is a natural gift for the UFO watcher and the collector of the strange.
