Nickel Drop Game is a wooden dice game from Creative Crafthouse. Same fast play as Penny Drop, sized for nickels, with a rule twist that adds strategy and a bit of name-calling.

The Nickel Drop has a solid wood box topped with a floorboard playing surface that is scratch and water resistant. Includes one handcrafted 7/8 inch wooden die. Players supply twelve nickels each.

Dimensions: 6 x 2.5 x 2.6 inches.
Slot 5 twist: rolls hitting an occupied 5 let you give the nickel to any player.
Engrave up to 45 characters on the lid.

Penny Drop Game Rules

Roll the dice (you must roll at least once).
Place one penny in the matching slot.
If you roll a 6, drop a penny into the box.
If the slot already has a penny, take all pennies on the board, and your turn ends.
After a successful dice roll, you may go again or pass.
First one to get rid of all their pennies wins!

How is Nickel Drop different from Penny Drop?

Nickel Drop uses nickels instead of pennies and adds the Slot 5 Twist: when a roll of 5 hits an occupied 5 slot, you take that nickel and give it to any player of your choice. Otherwise the rules match Penny Drop.

What are the rules?

Use one die. Roll 1-5 and place a nickel in the matching slot; if it already has a nickel, take all nickels on the board and your turn ends (with the Slot 5 Twist applying when 5 is rolled and the 5 slot is full). Roll a 6 and drop the nickel into the box. First to empty their stack wins.

How many players?

Two or more players. Twelve nickels per player; ten or eleven each makes a faster game.

No. Players supply their own nickels, twelve per player.
