Description

This is another box of our own design. It's beautiful to look at and handle, yet it is rugged and versatile too. This will fit both Escape Rooms and home or gift applications. You are given the box and 4 wood disk pieces that have an imbedded magnet. If these are placed on the correct locations on the box, the drawer will open. The box has the numbers #1-12 on it as possible locations for the magnets

There are 495 possible ways to place the 4 magnets. So, you may get lucky and solve after a handful of tries, but on average it will be about 248 tries to find the solution.

The outer dimensions are 9" x 6.5" x 2.75"

Inner dimensions , the space available to hide something inside, are 2.75 x 5.5 x .75"

We will pre-set the boxes to a variety of combinations, thus if you get more than 1 box, each will be different. You can also request a specific combination. We just need 4 different numbers between 1 and 12. There is a modest fee for this. After receiving the box, it is also fairly easy for you to reset the internal magnets to create a new combination. Just remove 4 small screws and the top number plate. Then shift around the magnets. The video below or on youtube will show you how.

We can also change the artwork on the top wood plate. It comes standard with numbers; but there could alternatively be letters, or symbols, or a mix of all of these. Also, the center artwork, currently a butterfly, could be artwork that you supply or you can select any of the items you see in our own artwork collection as found in our picture frame series of puzzles. There is a fee for this service, but it is modest.

You could make the box appear more difficult by adding dummy numbers on the top plate instead of the butterfly. These would have no impact on the solution, but would likely absorb added time for the person attempting to solve.

Special recognition to our own Robert Justiana for the great work he did in developing this design.
