Stack the pieces in such a way as to form the silhouette of 2 different rabbits.  Some or all of the 5 octagonal pieces may be required.  Each of the pieces is about 4” across the flats.

By superimposing some number of the octagonal pieces, it is possible to make the silhouette of a rabbit appear.  In fact, there are 2 different rabbits to find; noted as Rabbit #1 and Rabbit #2.

Rabbit #1 is usually a bit easier to find.  You will need to use between 2 and 5 of the pieces.

Rabbit # 2 uses a different number of pieces that Rabbit #1 and the pieces are stacked in a completely different orientation.

The puzzle is quite difficult, with over 1,000,000 possible orientations of the stack.  Note that the pieces can be flipped as well as rotated.

This puzzle design originated in Paris in the year 1900.  It was originally called “Question du Rabbit”

The octagon material is a high end Rowmark plastic 1/6” inch thick and about 4” across the flats.  It has an excellent look and feel with both flexibility and strength.  Colors will vary.
