The Apothecary Chest is one of our more unusual puzzles because of not only its presentation, but design of the puzzle pieces themselves. Instead of traditional block type shapes they appear more as actually drawers you would find in a dresser or chest. Each of the wood puzzle pieces are different and will only fit back together in one configuration. In terms of difficulty this brain teaser falls somewhere in the middle, think 6 out 10 on the challenge scale. Because of this it is an idea brainteaser for teenagers or those looking for a puzzle of moderate difficulty. Because of how unique the Apothecary Chest is it makes a wonderful gift for puzzle enthusiasts as well.

This week's puzzle feature is on the Calibron 12. Out of all of our different brain teasers I rank the Calibron 12 in the top 5 in terms of difficulty. With that being said it is a wonderful puzzle because the concept is so simple. All you need to do is fit each of the 12 pieces in the available space. It is the type of brainteaser anyone can try, but very few will actually solve without assistance from the instructions.
