Homeschooling is a time-honored tradition in which millions of students and parents participate each year. At Creative Crafthouse, we have specially tailored games designed with the home schooler in mind. Puzzles for testing analytical, mathematic and reasoning skills are a specialty of ours and can be particularly effective tools for students learning at home.
Our most popular game is Shut the Box, but the Soma Cube Puzzle is another one of our favorites. This puzzle helps to develop three-dimensional thinking abilities at any age, providing educational value all while meeting the interests of children. This puzzle's beautiful wood box contains seven different pieces, all of which will fit back into the cube in 240 ways! This puzzle dates back to the 1930s and was invented by a Danish mathematician. It can make hundreds of three-dimensional shapes and provides hours of learning and fun for homeschooled students. We offer the Soma Cube Puzzle in three different sizes, so that no matter what level your educational budget, you'll find an affordable and challenging puzzle for your home schooler.
For younger homeschoolers, try our Soccer Ball Puzzle. This neat little item is stunningly crafted and safe for ages eight and up. All you have to do is take the soccer ball apart and put it back together, but be warned--this is often easier said than done! This is a great starter item to get younger generations interested in puzzles and creative thinking.
Our Nine Mens Morris (or Mills) Puzzle is said to be the oldest game in the Western part of the world. It is strategic and easy to learn, and is played best with two people. On those rainy days when you can't take a break outside, puzzles like Solitaire or Last Fighter will make those dreary minutes fly by!
